Learning to Ride – First Lesson of 2012 at Thompsons Horse Centre (Lesson #24 overall), after 3 weeks off over Xmas/NY – feels good to get back into it!
And yeah, there are some moments when I completely suck but its been a while.
Lots of diagonals and figure-eights. I actually did my first walk-canter transition but didnt get it on video.. maybe next time

First time riding my horses English!!!

Please read description BEFORE critiquing!

First time riding English on my horses! Woot! =D
I know my equitation sucks and I don’t have a clue what I’m doing. I haven’t sat in an English saddle in six+ years and even then my time riding English was brief. Ever since then I’ve always ridden western and bareback and that’s what my horses and I know. Dakota is my trail horse and Beauty is my project horse that I school in my homemade arena. So this is pretty much new to us and we have a lot to learn!

Also, I’m sorry the quality of this video is so poor. My camera really sucks at videoing and I have no one to film me when I ride, so I have to just set the camera on a barrel or one of the fence posts, lol.
Also, the timing is off. It got messed up when I uploaded it. Which is really annoying because the effects were so much better before.

Also, please don’t comment tell me my one horse is off. I appriciate your concern, but I am aware of it. And it’s a very long story. Thanks.

[Overcoming All Obstacles] Brandywine Valley Horse Trail Ride with Gam and Bay 8/10/11

I can Identify with that quote! This trail ride was an experience! I took the boys out on pretty much Identical rides through the Brandwine Valley. I was hoping for a nice calm and peaceful ride, but Bay had other plans. He decided to argue over a puddle, of all things! I stood my ground, and he decided that I was right after all… I usually am Gam was awesome as always, Bay is just a little slower to catch on, but I love him just the same. Thumbs up for rescue horses!

Bridget and I took an awesome trail ride through Brandywine Valley. This is my backyard! We did a little bit of everything, including jumping, lots of galloping, and even some splashing in the water!
