Silly Natural Horsemanship

October 21st, 2009

natural horsemanship is one of the silliest things I know. How can any reasonable person believe in it? In this movie I pretend to be a horsewisper. I am not! I’m just showing you what most horses do anyway after some six thousand years together with one carzy man after another. So to all you out there who think you understand something about horses. You don’t! It’s your horse that understands you! At least that is what I think.

And didn’t I look cute in my long hair? I should never have cut it.

    That was funny, I …
That was funny, I hate the whiney people saying “thats dangerous” . They just don’t have the experience with horses to try these things, if you know your horse it’s not dangerous, I also agree with the comment on whisperers and scared riders, but wich is worse- an intimidated woman seeking help, or a tuff guy that doesn’t know s%$# that takes it out on the horse? When trained, they are more comfortable in our world, they are more valuble and used more because of it, living longer happier lives.

    definitely a good …
definitely a good video worth a chuckle. Some of the things any type of training promotes seem stupid and useless, especially if you have a horse like yours who is so laid back its amazing. BTW, you might want to check his pulse. just in case. =P

    this is truely the …
this is truely the stupiest video i have ever seen. natural horsemanship isnt trying to be a horse whisper but use trusting methods. It truely just wasnt funny. And americans arent stupid for trying to form a bond with their horse thats diffrent from yours. I use just a bit of natural horsemanship but that still doesnt give anyone the right to call Americans stupid!

  9. htorodmc Says:

    His ideas are spot …
His ideas are spot on, the goofy way is just entertainment, but some of the things I would deem dangerous. The mower under the horse was stupid, what if it kicked it and those blades hit the horse or the guy.

this kid is correct , I love it because all these so called American horse wisperer are bullshit , they make money from these middle aged women who are afraid of their horses and rides them so badly with such pain that horses become difficlut , so these so called wisperer make themselves as heros . Horses are pretty easy going animals ,and I rescue TB from track as long as people are normal …. but then again not amny normal people in America maybe that is why there are so many wisperers ??

lol. i dont know if ‘this is a person..’ refers to me or the poster of the video, but regardless we both have a point.

  19. summerhorsespirit Says:

    This is a person …
This is a person talking who watches several natural horsemanship videos then makes fun of the people that do parelli. Maybe you should rethink

  20. razrbladefaerie Says:

    lol. theres no NH …
lol. theres no NH and traditional, there are many ways non NH trainers train. just because someone doesnt do NH doesnt mean their horses wont trust them. my trainer’s horses all love him and greet him at the gate, stall door, nicker to him, ect. he hasnt had any abused horses, but there was a crazy arab stallion that came to him and now trusts him more than anything. that comes from making them work hard when needed and rewarding them accordingly.

  21. summerhorsespirit Says:

    No NH people get …
No NH people get them used to anything that their scared of. My boss at the horseplace is a NH and she has 3 horses that were abused and 2 that were abused AND abandoned. When they got too her farm she couldn’t even touch them. Now they trot up to anyone they know. Traditional would have ruined them even more!

  22. razrbladefaerie Says:

    haha. so basically …
haha. so basically every time i ride a horse and tell it what to do, which may require being firm, you are saying the whites of its eyes will show. lol. horses show the whites of their eyes when they are scared and the NH people let them stand and get more scared.

  23. summerhorsespirit Says:

    Acually mytelonelee …
Acually mytelonelee if you watch videos about traditional horses you see that they listen to their “master” and if you look close enough you can see the whites around their eyes. But if you look at natural horses you see that they listen to the domonite but are relaxed and calm because they trust you to not lead them into danger.

  24. summerhorsespirit Says:
