and if it’s in bags …
ALSO I always tell “my kids” that shavings can be ( and usually are) the most costly regular expense in running a barn! even though hay is getting up there, shavings are something to be very judicious and careful about not wasting!! even (loose) from a sawmill, the labor involved is a high price in itself !
and if it’s in bags it a big job to help unload! BUT better to have to many than to run out !!

I agree with you completely : ) and I would too, if the horse(s) stayed inside. WHEN my horse(s) stay inside ( because of bad weather, or if they need to stay clean due to work or horse show/ whatever) they do get more bedding too. thank you for mentioning it… I believe I say that later in the vid.

kiln dried pine ( you must be very careful because walnut shavings would cause a horse to founder…. but I don’t believe any comercial shavings dealer sells them) pine is absorbant and smells nice too : )
