L@@K..Central Park Carriage horse info, animal rights learning center.Ban Bliders, peta lies.
February 18th, 2010
A vid showing our time clock, the fuction of the work collar, and other basic info on horse and carriage hardware and function. Peta manipulates language, image and misinformation to make any connection with animals evil. Don’t buy into their crap. Stop the demonisation of people who work with or aroUnd animals. The aninal rights movements have lost their way. It’s more about agenda than the animals Peta kills 93% of the animals the collect donations to “save”. PATHETIC.

Yes he has been …
Yes he has been brainwashed by petaRDS. We will be calling him to task over his petaRDED statements
That clown has never “seen” our horses.
But the NYPD, the ASPCA, the Health dept, Consumer Affairs, Park Rangers ALL do !
No abuse reports EVER !
So vote for your petaRDED Gov It will be wasting a vote. Look at all the other petards in offfice, sorry, that WERE in office
Good luck with your nasty lies and innuendo. They have all been exposed watch my vids and see
Go have some fun ride horse!

I guess the …
I guess the governor of New York is a Petard, too?
Even a blind man can see that these horses are being exploited.

You are WRONG. Each …
You are WRONG. Each carriage has a water bucket under the carriage, there are two water troughs that operate everyday, one at the start if the ride, one at the end. Also there are three fire hydrants, one at 5th ave, one at 6th ave and one at 7th ave which we also use to fill our water buckets. In the winter monthts we also have a solar powered water trough which will not freeze. This is filled by one of our cleaning staff as needed.
No horse works more than 9 hours.
Another petaRD liar posts

I think that the …
I think that the horses do have a problem drinking water when the Central park troughs are empty, or have a few drops of filthy water in the bottom, for the 68 horses that are in the Park at a given time. Since the horses are working in the Park up to nine hours or more at a time, and there are no water spigots in the Park to fill the water buckets from (This fact is from the 2007 audit done by the City Comptroller’s office), it also might make it hard for the horses to drink.

oh yeah srry its been so long since i’ve had a horse

Because taking off …
Because taking off the bridle in the street could pose a dangerous situation if the horse spooks. Horses have no problem eating grains or drinking water with a bit, on the other hand a horse should not be allowed to graze or eat hay with the bit. As grass or hay can become entangled with the bit. This won’t happen with grains or water.
February 18th, 2010 at 1:05 am
why do you feed the …
why do you feed the horse with the bitt in its mouth ?

Horses built big …
Horses built big cities, we have police horses, riding horses, and park ranger horses in NYC !
Is it only dangerous for the carriage horses?
We also have elderly and infants in NYC, is the city too dangerous for them too?

You are correct, …
You are correct, sometimes we have to allow bratty behavior, correcting would be misinterpreted.
As far as being patient, not many would give me that acalade !!!
Thanks for you kind words.
February 18th, 2010 at 1:05 am
Thank you- loved …
Thank you- loved seeing your carriage and harness equipment! I suppose your horses often paw at the ground for feed. Im sure it’s irritating- correcting the behavior would only inflame petards. If my horse did that out on a ride when asked to stand still – we would have a talk about it! Unbelievable how you must defend yourself. Once again I commend you for your patience.

but on the other …
but on the other hand, you suck !!
February 18th, 2010 at 1:05 am
Looks like a …
Looks like a regulated business to me.
Horses and equipment look in good shape.
Whiners have to whine, so there will always be idiot knownothings crying foul.
The idea is to discredit them, and show them for the moronic parrots that they are.
February 18th, 2010 at 1:05 am
“yes there are some …
“yes there are some abused carriage horses” !!??!
REALLY ?
Where exactly ?
The animal rights have been saying this for years, with not one shred of evidence !
Our horses are on public view everyday, if some are abused as you say, why then do the ASPCA, Health Dept, Consumer Affairs, Police Dept, Parks Dept or the crazed animal rights groups find any of this “abuse” ??!!??
I know you seem to be on our side, but the above quote is so typical, but no proof!!
Shake my hand, then slap my face !
February 18th, 2010 at 1:05 am
Why do people go on …
Why do people go on and on about things like this?? Yes, there are some abused carriage horses, but I do not believe that the whole industry is abusing horses. I own horses….does the Peta people who preach about “rescuing ” these animals and bringing them t live on a farm where “they can run”…do they want to foot the bill of boarding and feeding each horse!! Horses need a job!
I think many of the people that complain have no horse knowledge whatsoever
February 18th, 2010 at 1:05 am
people need to …
people need to thing about their own behavior and compare it to horses. We actually stand in much the same way as horses. Shift weight from one side to the other when we stand, and pick one foot up and rest on the other. Also, we get impatient waiting for our food and restless. My horse does the same, the 50 horses at my stable do the same.
February 18th, 2010 at 1:05 am
A little petarded …
A little petarded here, talking out of both sides of your mouth. A little alluding to lying, and faking lameness.
Typical m.o. of a PeTard.
“”"yawn”"”
February 18th, 2010 at 1:05 am
You just don’t want …
You just don’t want to admit your nasty pre- conceived notions to be WRONG !
Even in the face of truth!
Lameness is determined at a walk or trot, not when the horse is standing still.
Don’t try your with me.
The point of showing the horse at rest was to explain that the rest postion is NORMAL.
You can see this horse in this and other vids trotting and walking, NOT LAME.
The one trying to put out false info is you, and you know it.
The facts are presented above and in other SLST vids

Whos lying? What in …
Whos lying? What in Gods name are you talking about.
February 18th, 2010 at 1:05 am
OH BROTHER!!!!!!!!! …
OH BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!! If you bothered your watching my videos of my 108 acre farm, or my state of the art stable that would answer your questions. PS…horses BUILT cities!
February 18th, 2010 at 1:05 am
Also, you are …
Also, you are correct in the fact that a perfectly comfortable and healthy horse will stand with one leg propped up. Lame horses also do this but they rock continually from one foot to the other. Please don’t lie, just present the facts and people will believe you.
February 18th, 2010 at 1:05 am
It looks like you …
It looks like you keep good care of your horses, but on the other hand horses weren’t designed to stand on the side of a busy road on pavement and loud vehicles. Has that horse ever been on a 2 acre turnout? Or ever eaten fresh green grass? Do your horses even get hay? It looks like they get oats and bran, which is not a suitable diet. I would like to see their living conditions and would like to know the method of which you dispose of your animals when they are old and/or lame.
February 18th, 2010 at 1:05 am
No kidding. I …
No kidding. I don’t consider myself a feminist, but they way PeTA uses women as ‘meat’ to get their point across is very vile to me.
