Learn to ride a Trick Horse..?

November 8th, 2009

I’m 15 and already a very competent rider, been rider since i could walk and I live in London, does anyone know somewhere in London or quite close to it where I can learn to ride trick horses? Doing tricks on them like standing on the horse’s back while the horse is in canter etc. Thankss =)

If you go to rodeotrickrider.com there is a page where it lists all of the trickriders and trick riding schools all around the world! I believe there are a few in England! good Luck! You will LOVE trick riding once you find some lessons!

Hmm I’m not sure, but "trick riding" is called Vaulting. Google it for your area and see what you some up with.

I agree with the first answer rodeotrickrider.com is awesome for that kinda riding! Oh, and as for peanut girl? Trick riding is when a rider does tricks like hanging sideways off of a horse, standing on their back, riding two at once, etc. Vaulting is done without a saddle and it is more like dancing while on the back of a horse. Getcha facts right!

A trick horse is a horse that does tricks.

A trick RIDER is what you want to learn to be. It’s using a vaulting horse, typically….a draft or the like, that just learns to travel around in a circle off a lunge line for example….it’s not a big deal to the horse who is taught to ignore the rider bouncing around their back (standing on his back with a special rigging, hanging off the side, jumping on and off the horse’s back)…..

Look up trick riding school on Google.
