Also, as you are a learner and get nervous, find a good stables/instructor where you can learn on a good, sturdy horse that you can get you're confidence on. If this is the case then you need trot 15m circles a few times and given she is on the bit and using her hind end this will burn up a lot of her energy and get her more focused on you.
