Horseback riding trails in maine/new hamshire?

i have always wanted to go horseback riding but cant find a place around that will let you rent a horse and go along, im experinced rider, and i dont want to be led down a path but someone else going no faster than a walk! please help

Probably their insurance prevents such activities. I think most expert horsepersons in your situation would plan to buy and keep their own horse?
